Converge @ Slim's SF 09.27.2006

Converge is a diligent and impassioned metal/hardcore outfit. Hailing from Salem Massachusetts, they established in 1990 with unwieldy guitars and menacing drums. They take you on a hell ride as Jake Bannon leads the parade with a fiery voice. Despite some seeing Converge as strenuous to listen to because of their raucous fashion of vocals, and sometimes convoluted instrumentals, they are one of the most respected and perpetual names in hardcore/metal music. Their live show is energetic to say the least, often causing Bannon to enter spastic fits of dance with a microphone in a sea of swinging fists and sweating bodies that violently move. Since Converge's birth, their sound has evolved to become more vengeful and solid with every record. Here are pictures from a few years back when they played Slim’s SF. They were a swift kick to the head. Enjoy.
